Step 2 – Supporting Documents:

To confirm your identity the following documents are required:

1. Proof of identity - copy of the front and back of an official photo identification.
   Examples of a valid proof of identity:
   
   

   Passport

   Driving licence

   State or other official ID

   
   Any documents provided as proof of identity must include the date of birth, have a defined period of validity, and not have expired.
   
   
2. Proof of address - a written document (full-page), not older than six months, containing your name and street address as stated in the application. (P.O. box addresses are not acceptable.)
   Examples of a valid proof of address:
   
   

   Telephone bill	Electricity bill	Gas bill
   Credit card statement	Bank statement	Mortgage bill
   Lease agreement	Proof of legal residence

   
   Please note that only complete, full-page documents can be accepted as proof of address. Confidential information such as your account number may be blacked out at your discretion.

Additional documents needed for joint accounts: If you want to open a joint account with your spouse, your life partner or another person, please submit the respective person's identification documents as well. A joint account may be opened for a maximum of two persons. Both parties have the same rights of use (common consent is not required).

Additional documents needed for company and trust accounts: For applications in the name of a company or trust, additional documentation is required. » More information
