Step 2 – Supporting Documents:

To confirm your identity the following documents are required:

1. Proof of identity - copy of official photo identification.
   Examples of valid proof of identity:
   
   

   Passport

   Driving licence

   State or other official ID

   
   Any documents provided as proof of identity must include the date of birth, have a defined period of validity, and not have expired.
   
   
2. Proof of address - a written document, not older than six months, containing your name and street address as stated in the application. (P.O. box addresses are not acceptable.) Examples of valid proof of address:
   
   

   Gas bill	Electric bill	Telephone bill
   Mortgage bill	Credit card statement	Bank statement
   Current lease agreement

   
   Please note that any document provided as proof of address must be complete and include all pages. Confidential information such as your account number may be blacked out if you wish.

Additional documents needed for joint accounts: If you want to open a joint account with your spouse, your life partner or another person, please submit the respective person's identification documents as well. A joint account may be opened for a maximum of two persons. Both parties have the same rights of use (common consent is not required).

Additional documents needed for company and trust accounts: For applications in the name of a company or trust, additional documentation is required. » More information
